Vacuums are scary.

A fun new project came my way just as the year was ending.  A promotional photo shoot for the Sno-Isle Libraries became a 10 hour portrait session as we stocked up on photos of kids, teens and adults finding books, reading in quiet corners and being helped by the library staff.  The photos will be used throughout 2012 for posters, brochures and event promotion.  It was a fun, full day.

A fundraiser for the Everett Women’s Shelter and the Snohomish County Food Bank held at the Skate deck and hosted by Jet City.  Pictures with Santa, and skates!

A trip to Denver for the Roller Derby National Championships.  Didn’t spend much time taking pictures, just a few of the Oly vs Philly game. Good times.

In my non photographer life I have spent a lot of time working at PAWS, the progressive animal welfare society, in Lynnwood.  First as a wildlife volunteer, then intern and now with the foster care center.  So when I meet Puck here, he was tiny little kitten.  Now he’s staying with us, while he recovers from a nasty bout of pneumonia.  He’s a crazy one, but look at those eyes!

This wasn’t strictly a photo project but as the unofficial photographer for the Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery sometimes I get to see some cool stuff.  For instance, the day they made their first tap handles!  Pretty cool.

Heather and Jake’s Indian Summer wedding took place at Campbell’s Resort on Lake Chelan.  A beautiful, sunny and plenty warm Saturday was perfect for the lakeside ceremony.

The first Homebrew competition judging of the Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery took place at Pillager’s Pub in Greenwood.  The Competition, the Fly-PA competition, allowed members enter their IPA recipes to a panel of certified and member judges.  The winner of the competition will have their recipe brewed and distributed by Baron brewing and will available on tap in local pubs around the Seattle area.

This was the day of Liz and Noel’s wedding.  Liz started out with a girl’s trip to the Pike Place Market to pick out flowers for the day and pick up lunch before heading to the Center for Urban Horticulture at the UW in Seattle.  A tree grove ceremony and fun, outdoor garden reception culminated in a unique end of the night send off as the couple walked the Burke-Gilman trail… from the wedding to the RAM Brewery at University Village.
